Field Trip to Dragonwings Bookstore

iCal Import
Start:
July 26, 2011 1:00 am
End:
July 26, 2011 2:30 pm
Venue:
Dragonwings Bookstore

Students from the Learning Cottage Daycare and Preschool went on a Field Trip to Dragonwings Bookstore last week.  They each wore hand-decorated sun visors and carried slings for their water bottles.  At Dragonwings they hunted for dragons, raced cars on the Ramp Racer, set up the train set, held a Fastrack competition, and prepared and served lots of “cookies, ice cream, and pie” to their friends.

Ethan, Hayden, Landon and Carson started their visit by checking out the toys and games at Dragonwings.

Landon and Brady face off in a Fastrack competition. Brady was the overall champion, losing only one game.

Talon served food through every opening in our big tree.

"Here's your order."

Looking for Peter Rabbit and his family in the Woodland Fairy Garden.

Finding gnomes, dragons and fairy houses.

Ah, they found the superhero books.

Hayden and Talon reading Indiana Jones adventure books.

Dayton looks for Peter Rabbit in the Woodland, while Talon and Ellie find out what caught Hayden's interest.

Malia crates a four-decker ice cream cone with chocolate, whipped cream and a cherry on top. Scoopers should take notice.

Ellie shows us the "snacks" that she made.

Testimonials

What an incredible treasure Waupaca has. Dragonwings is an such an asset to the children, families, schools, libraries and community in central Wisconsin. In the modest traveling I have don in the US and abroad, I can say that it is very rare to find a shop so authentic and friendly focused only on the children of a small town.
